Riviere Saas et Gourby
Riviere is a quiet village nestling on the banks of the river Adour, and sitting on the edge of Europes largest forest, The Parc National des Landes. The forest is made up of pine trees which helped to drain Les Landes when it was nothing more than marshy swamp land. The forest is ideal for walking, hiking, jogging and cycling. The forest also shelters the interior from coastal winds.
The village is in a pastoral location away from the urban bustle, but has well marked roads that wind through the verdant countryside. It is an ideal location for those who seek the tranquility of the French countryside, but also wish to be within easy reach of the coast as well as interesting towns and villages.
